About Kathryn Davies
Kathryn Davies has a long family history of tending to animals. Her Great-Great Grand Father was one of the first Veterinarians in Alberta, her Great Grandmother bred purebred sheep, her Grand parents bred purebred horses and dogs. Her Mother, Crystal Davies, breeds Top Best In Show winning Lakeland Terriers under the Affirm prefix. Kathryn was born into a very busy household and began going with her family to dog shows while only weeks old. As soon as she was old enough to walk she began spending all her time with the dogs and playing dog show. Kathryn started in Pee Wees and has quickly progressed from Junior Novice into Junior Open in very few shows with lots of talented competition. Kathryn's first Alberta Junior Handling Provincial Finals was in 2022 where she was awarded Runner Up in her Junior Open class. To date she has won 4 Best Overalls in Junior Handling and 1 Runner Up at the Canadian Shetland Sheepdog Association National. This year will be Kathryn's second invitation to compete at Alberta Junior Handling Provincial Finals.
Kathryn enjoys showing dogs of all sizes and has a special place for Lakeland Terriers and Berger Picards. She has a strong sense of who she is and dogs feel comfortable from her sense of confidence. At home, Kathryn is a top academic student. She is active in the Manning Youth Soccer Association and in January of this year was Player of the Month. She is a member of the Manning Mighty Moose Band, and is capable of playing Violin, Cello, and Saxophone.
