About Elika Davies
Elika Davies is a third generation dog show enthusiast. Her Grandmother, Christine Tricker, began in the sport of pure bred dogs in 1979 and bred Boxers under the Tricker prefix with 37 Champions in both Canada and the USA. Her Mother, Crystal Davies, has bred both Boxers and top Multiple Best In Show winning Lakeland Terriers under both the Affirm and Tricker prefix with 32 Champions to her credit. With this rich history it's no wonder Elika was practically born at a dog show. A soon as she was old enough to walk she began playing with dogs. Elika has always had a special ability to lovingly connect with each dog she meets. In 2018, being her first year of actively competing in Junior Handling, Elika found great success in her Junior Novice class accumulating with an invitation to Provincial Finals. Here she was awarded Runner-Up in her Junior Novice Class. In 2019 she continued her success as she moved to the Intermediate Novice class. She also spent a couple of weekends working as an assistant. Elika can be seen asking to show many different breeds, often on her own accord. She has successfully handled breeds in all the different Groups and for this she is grateful to the Breeders, Owners and Handlers that allow their dogs to be shown in Junior Handling. Aside from Junior Handling, Elika, is a top academic student in her class. She is active in Music being a part of the Northern Lights Ensemble Music Band and is capable of playing Violin, Cello, Clarinet, and Oboe. She is also active in after school sports which included Basketball, Volleyball, and most recently Curling. Elika believes her biggest achievement to date is winning Best Overall at the 2019 Junior Handling Provincials. She has also won multiple Best Overalls and Group Placements. She looks forward to what the future holds!
